"I ask you- how useful is a concept without guided hands-on practice and feedback? To learn, change and grow a person must experience the concept for themselves."

Wilderness Therapy and Back Again
The EHI provides guidance and support for Families and Individuals participating in Wilderness Therapy programs, after graduation, during re-integration and long after for continued individual and family growth through challenge and reflection. We believe that for change to truly happen there must be an "experience" or "journey" that provides struggle, reflection and opportunities for a "choice" to be felt and made. We also believe that this is a life time journey that can shape" who you are" as individuals and as a family. We also know that people will always benefit from having a "guide" along the way. We are wilderness therapy guides and therapists who want to train parents and families in the skills used to work with their loved ones. Our hope is to "train" families in skills that can become a part of their everyday life. Our hope is that these skills support positive change for families long after the teen or young adult returns from their treatment. |
Crisis Team Development
At the EHI we know that a family in Crisis and looking for help can feel alone and lost trying to figure out who to contact or where to send their loved one for help. The EHI can work with you from the beginning of the process to the end. Together we can create a team of professionals to guide you through this intense experience. Call us and we can coordinate getting you started with an Educational Consultant while we start guiding you with intervention strategies and evaluate your needs for getting the most out of your future experience. |
We offer support for families who want to learn new approaches to being a family and supporting each other. We bring the Wilderness Therapy concepts home and train the family for continued success.
